Job Description:
We currently have openings for 1st and 2nd shifts! Candidates who have a background in carpentry, assembly, woodworking, or possess a general knowledge of the use of hand tools and assembly are very successful on our team.
1st shift: either 5 days per week x 8 hour shifts, or 4 days per week x 10 hour shifts – NO WEEKENDS – FLEXIBLE START TIME
2nd shift: Monday-Thursday 4pm-2am – NO WEEKENDS – FLEXIBLE START TIME
As a member of the production department you’ll:
- Produce and assemble furniture parts for sub and/or final assembly
- Utilize patterns and cut materials to meet parts orders
- Operate drill press and other equipment to drill holes in recycled plastic lumber
- Produce and assemble parts for sub and/or final assembly
- Read, comprehend and follow a production schedule
- Monitor quality and remove faulty products
- Finalize and package furniture for shipment
- Troubleshoot errors and alert supervisor for assistance as needed
- Assist team members with necessary duties to ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently
This might be the job for you if:
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have at least three years of relevant production, manufacturing, carpentry or construction experience.
- Have experience using industrial equipment such as upcut, angle, table and band saws, drill press, router
- Have the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- You are able to occasionally stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, carrying and moving parts, materials, and product.You are detail-oriented and take pride in your work
- You thrive in a fast-pace environment and have the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- You can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- You are capable of reading and understanding production documents and specifications
- You are available for shift work and able to work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends
- You are able to maintain social distancing protocols and wear a mask
